"Something's fucked up" is all Danica Patrick could muster after leading much of today's NASCAR Nationwide tour race at Montreal then being knocked out by a mechanical issue after running over a shoe thrown onto the track by a spectator.
Patrick set a personal record for laps in the lead position in what was her first race since Daytona even reaching the front of the line. Radio communication between Patrick & her pit suggested a part of her car was torn off by the shoe when her car ran over it. [ESPN]
